CHARLOTTE BRONTE LUCKING

Since qualifying with the necessary expertise in London, in 1995, I have worked as a professional painter and decorator for nearly 20 years covering all aspects of the trade.
This includes everything from simple redecortaion projects to the more elaborate restoration projects in grand bulidings.

My company Bronte Interiors specialises in Graining and Marbling Techniques. Graining and marbling is the art of creating realistic imitations of wood and marbles using scumbles, glazes, paints and specialist tools.
Other technical skills include Trompe l’oeil, Gilding, Verre Eglomise, Restoration, Stucco Antico, Colour Washes, Crackle Glazes, Stippling, Rag Rolling, Sponging and Wallpaper Hanging.

At Bronte Interiors I work with my husband and a team of fellow artists.

Most recently we have been restoring Elmore Court in Gloucester www.elmorecourt.com. There my husband Grant project managed the total refurbishment of the Jacobean stately home. Specialist work included the Woodgraining of doors in the Great Hall and beams on the Grand Staircase. A Stone-effect was applied to the wooden windows of the Great Hall and the a huge bedroom fireplace. Colour Glaze work was also applied to a roll top bath.

Our aim is to achieve the highest possible standard of painting and decorating for all our clients.
